A rhyming story of a little squirrel, called Squirrel Grey, who wants to play with his animal friends; a horse, pig, chicken, owl, frog, dog, giraffes, mice, llamas, and sheep. All the animals have tasks to complete before they can go and play.

22 pages, fully illustrated using photographs of polymer clay animals made by the author, watercolours, and scenic photographs. There are ten short rhyming verses, each verse involving a different animal who has to complete tasks before playing with the squirrel.

The last page shows all the animals, with their names.
