She knows she isn’t made for the conventional life her mother wants for her. When a peculiar girl is shipwrecked on their shores, Kestra begins to realise that she doesn’t belong in more ways than she thought, and when the girl decides to leave for the wood, she longs to follow.

In the wake of the girl’s disappearance, strange things begin to happen within Kestra. When she makes the traumatic discovery of her true power, escape is no longer just a thought-it becomes the difference between life and death.
