Filo the Fox and the Heart of the World

Long, long ago, when the universe was young, nine Gods came into being and all swore an oath to The Creator - an accord written in the stars and set for all time - 'that no God shall raise himself above another?. But over the vastness of eternity, greed and a growing lust for power and total control began to divide the nine, and the Higher Gods, as some began to call themselves, plotted and schemed in an effort to dominate. Pooling their powers, they undermined, weakened and eventually crushed those they deemed "Lesser Gods" and banished them to the remotest parts of the cosmos. But in stealing 'The Heart of the World', a charm of immense power, it was the Gods themselves who awoke The Chosen from this long-forgotten pact, and in so doing, provoke a conflict that would change the order of things forever. Our story starts when the Goddess Krenan whisks a reluctant Filo and six of his clan back to the beginning of all things to awaken forgotten memories and acknowledge their role in a prophesy they were born to fulfil.
