Introducing the Author
Chris Doherty otherwise known as 'Dee' to his closest friends wrote this book during lockdown and completed it just before he passed away suddenly in September 2021 following a cardiac arrest. This was to be his first book which would form a series of stories relating to his experiences of fatherhood. Chris loved nothing more than to read to his son Archie at the end of a busy day. He was also looking forward to enjoying reading stories with his youngest son Max who was born in May 2021. There were times when his job meant that he didn't make it home in time for bedtime stories and the story of Donovan the Business Sloth expresses how important it was to him to be able to be there to read to his sons. Throughout his writing journey Chris collaborated closely with his cousin Alex Ferragu. Alex is a talented artist and brought the story to life in such a unique and beautiful way.
Following his sudden passing Chris's family decided to see his passion for Donovan's story through to completion in his memory.
We love this book and think it tells a heart-warming and relatable story. We really hope that you love it too!
