Nate has loved Bess since they were school children. Now young adults on the brink of their life, Nate comes calling. Deeply in love with Nate, Bess wants nothing more than to give him her heart, But, agonizingly driven by her deeply held convictions, she turns him down more than once. With both hearts broken, they attempt to forget each other. Bess throws herself into family life and Nate to his studies. A chance encounter between the two sends Nate's life spiraling out of control, and he hits rock bottom.
