With time, Jack was discovering more of his past, his life that was meant to be not the one forced on him. Thanks to his friendship with Tran and Richard and his work with 'The Unit', he feels like his life matters to others. Now Jack is inside the locked country of North Korea, looking for one last monster to put down; then he can relax with the others. Richard had gone through David Johns's life with a magnifying glass. He couldn't have known David hated everyone in The Unit. David blamed them for his family losing its fortune, and he was going to expose the unit, and for a price, he would hand over all the intel he had gathered on the unit leaders to whoever paid the most. Joan knew about David; she'd been watching him so when the time came, she and Jack could act and protect their friends and leader. Now Richard, the unit, along with Jack, Joan Eugene Tish, and Tosh, flew across the African sky, not knowing they were moments from being shot down by a Chinese plane. The real fight for love and friendship started the moment Jack realized they had survived the plane crash. With the help of two crazy pilots and a unit of seals, Jack hurries across Africa to save Richard's sister and the family who are with her.
