The creatures of the shoreline forest, Vawkuu, knew the voice speaking to them must be referring to the little snake, Jeiokha. Any who sought to protect Jeiokha put themselves in terrible danger, and the child snakeling saw tragedy over and over again. His friends guarded him, and his enemies cursed him, but it was Jeiokha alone who could decide who he was, and if he deserved to thrive or be smothered...and the world with him.
