Made of You

Made of You is the debut poetry collection from Stephanie Eisler Vance, writer, spoken word poet, and mental health advocate. With raw, unflinching honesty, Made of You invites the reader into Vance’s inner world, scars and all, and reveals our shared humanity. We are all made of where, and who, we come from. We are made of each other.

Made of You is a beautifully crafted first compilation for its structure alone, and then some. Vance creates a ‘body’ of work that allows us readers a physical visualization of how parts of the soul create a whole poetic evolution: mind, body, and heart. The structure of each poem is intentional and breathable. The immense vulnerability is heartbreaking and hopeful all at once.

Made of You met my desire for honesty, vulnerability and simplicity. Vance has a way of taking her everyday experiences and retelling them through her poetry in the most entertaining way. It was a pleasure to read and get to know her on a personal level through her art.
