The Man in the Woods is a story of new love, former love and lost love. A story of an old man living in the woods with his faithful dog and a love story between Jack and Olivia, two people finding each other at the right time in their lives.

Their stories collide in an emotional tale for the heart!

The story alternates between two settings. The first finds us getting acquainted with an old man and his dog who live in the woods, the second scenario is in Manhattan where two characters, Jack and Olivia meet and fall in love. As the story progresses the reader is wondering if the characters will eventually intertwine.

The bright sun warmed his aging body while he sat in his Adirondack chair surveying the large hemlocks towering over eighty feet. His eyes continued past the trees, up to follow the white fluffy clouds against the brilliant blue sky as he looked for hidden objects within them. As he felt the soft breeze pick up, he pushed off the arm of the chair to stand up. The soreness in his knees was getting worse each month, but for a man in his eighties, he felt in good health. He had found out years ago to take advantage of the sun during the warmer months. The sunshine continued to shimmer through his long white beard as he placed his hat upon his balding head. He looked down at the beagle laying near him at the side of the chair.
