Liar Liar House on Fire

Affair, divorce, and sorry are all words that flash in Miranda’s head as she stares at her home in the woods as it succumbs to a hungry fire. Her husband, Jake, needed money to run away with his mistress, and a house with multiple code violations is hard to sell; a can of gas and a rag was a quick fix.

Trying to stay out of legal trouble and ready to move on, Miranda and her toddler Piper head north to stay with family and wait for Jake to call. But the phone never rings, and what was quickly becoming a fresh start is derailed when Detective John Waters comes knocking and delivers the news that a body was found in their home’s charred remains, forcing Miranda to come home while the investigation plays out.

After six months of no promising breakthroughs, the case is declared cold and the house is sold. But when an attack occurs and a secret is discovered, answers finally come to light and unveil the chain of events that led to the fire.
