This story is set in 2070, when America’s government has collapsed and this has left families to fend for themselves. Kate and her family live in Stockton, California. Her father is over protective, but Carol, Kate’s sister, is not having it and makes decisions that leaves her family worried.

While out looking for her missing sister, Kate finds herself kidnapped, fighting for her own freedom and finds herself in love with the person who took it all away.
