Dinosaur in the Bed is a product of Lex Marcial Avila's imagination and the ongoing series Lex Adventures, which is currently being produced through Avila Production and Ape Press. Although he was only three years old at the time, Lex has been writing books and narrating stories ever since the Pandemic. Lex can still develop his stories naturally without the use of artificial intelligence, even in this age of CHATGBT.

Lex's dad, Alex Avila, would take his son to different dinosaur museums, especially during the Pandemic. Afterward, Lex began to talk about his desire to be a dinosaur and his curiosity about what it would be like if he were to spend a day in the role of a dinosaur. Lex started this story at age four and has spoken and rewritten Dinosaur in the Bed over fifteen times. The first part of this story, Lex created, took place while his dad and son wore their jammies and ate breakfast, creating Lex's Adventures: Dinosaur in the Bed.

This book aims to encourage children's imagination, literacy, and old-fashioned fun. Lex still goes outside to play and laugh and occasionally comes back home with some minor scratches. The art of being young is constantly being challenged by technology, but this book hopes to preserve a sense of youthfulness.
