Fourteen years in the US Army, part of them as an off-the-record sniper in Afghanistan, had taught Carli Vincenzo how to play fair, take care of problems the moment they arose, and handle herself in just about any situation.

Then her daughter, Lara, was raped and driven to suicide. At first, Carli tried to find justice through the legal system. But when that failed, her training had also taught her to always have a Plan B.
