Soon the alligator siblings were ready for their first day of school so Indigo rowed them down the river for their first day of school at their local "Snapping School" located on the bayou. Everyone loved school, except Violet. Through perseverance, love, counseling, and extra support at school, Violet overcame her emotional and academic struggles and learned to SNAP! This is a beautiful story of adoption and relentless determination to ensure that no matter their background, every alligator kid deserves to succeed! The author of this book experienced the same life experiences as Violet. At the age of four she fell in love with alligators and found comfort in anything alligators. She faced the same fears as Violet, the same emotional trauma, the same frustrations in learning, the same transitions from teacher to teacher, and many therapeutic practices. Because she was surrounded by so many educators and people of impact that supported her all the way, she is thriving in life and happy going to school.
