Marvolene Pere is lost.

With no plans for the future and a hopeless desire to isolate herself, Marvie Pere wanders aimlessly through her life, searching for some sort of meaning. All of that changes when she meets Auden Frae, a mysterious Orinthian who she can't seem to stay away from. Her desire to be with him is overpowering, but she can't ignore the darkness behind his eyes and the feeling that danger is lurking on the horizon whenever he's around.

Auden Frae is haunted.

Running away from his traumatic past, Auden works to detach himself from the rest of the world to protect it. Marvolene Pere is the exception. The dark power that courses through him disappears when she is near, fades away like he always dreamed it would. Though he knows it's not right, Auden steps into Marvie's world, praying he can keep his darkness contained, and keep Marvolene Pere safe from himself.
