It’s the summer of 1989 and also the last ever summer of the 1980s. So, what do you do? You go out with a bang, of course. For Wes Tucker, however, his idea of going out with a bang wasn’t quite what he expected.
Wes and his best friend Eric had just graduated from high school and planned on spending the entire summer doing anything and everything they could possibly think of. Seeing as many movies as possible, hanging out at the local arcade, and even sneaking into some of the casinos in Las Vegas were just a few ideas they had. But when they get invited to a birthday party for two girls they’ve never heard of, their plans quickly get put on hold.
After meeting Anna James and Eve Parker, Wes and Eric discover things about them they can’t explain. When they’re together, they experience supernatural events along with some bizarre, unexplained phenomena. And it isn’t until the girls’ overly protective military fathers ban the guys from seeing their daughters that their interest becomes fully piqued. But when Wes decides to disobey that order, he and Eric get a lot more than they bargained for.
After being put in a predicament that no person should ever have to be in, the guys soon discover something about the girls and their fathers that they never expected. One epic adventure they definitely got. But, making a life or death decision to save themselves and the girls was not part of it.
