Cara Jo Sanderson was left as an infant at a local hospital. As the years passed, she saw her share of foster homes. Some were uncaring and others were almost family. When moved to the Grier home, Cara felt a warmth she needed. However, it would never replace her desire to find her mother and be a real family. Near her new home was a beautiful park that seemed to call her toward it. Cara was Inspired to draw its many features including a very special tree. But that was only one reason Lindley Park came to mean so much to her. In its branches, she found a friend she could relate to. He became like family to her until she discovered a dark secret he kept to himself. When their lives take dramatic turns they become separated and the tree takes on greater meaning.
