A Dance in the Rain

A mom who stayed. A dad who left. A grandmother who tried to hold it down. A heritage of faith. Yet eventually my heart turned on itself. I became like a rubber band ball of wounds - layer upon layer bound together and coming to the surface.

Until finally a Lover broke through. One who managed to make Himself real. One against whom I could no longer defend. One who resisted all of my attempts to break loose from the force of His grip.

While my story is my own, A Dance in the Rain is unique to us all. Heartache and loss mingled together simultaneously with beauty and grace. Deep sadness and bottomless joy coexisting all at once…And the weightiness of a Love so vast that everyone and everything else, no matter how transcendent, appear only for a moment, like a morning mist.
