Mystic Prince

Prince Khael Stratton, a moderately advanced mystic, returns from a diplomatic mission for his brother, the King, having evaded numerous assassination attempts along the way. Although he plans to enter the kingdom’s capital city unnoticed, he must use his royal signet ring to confirm his identity, pull rank and disrupt a scheme among a few corrupt gate guards and restore law and order. Moments later, inside the gates, a young thief with an extraordinary kih (life-energy) steals his ring. He tries to use one of his mystic abilities to compel her mentally to return it, but she escapes unharmed; patience and time are what he needs.
After two weeks of training for his next discipline in the mystic path, Khael takes a weekend break. He and his best friend Grant fortuitously encounter his ring thief, Vixen, in a well-known taproom. Khael persuades her to join him and Grant on his newest quest - to reclaim his throne from the viceroy he left behind, who has usurped the throne and is now dispensing injustice and ill will in his home state.
Along the way, the three encounter numerous adventures, death-threats, dangerous animals and monsters, unexpected allies and sage encouragement. Their adversities strengthen them individually, as friends and as a team. Ultimately, they confront the usurper in Khael’s palace in their efforts to restore justice along with the health and welfare of his people.
