This is a lovely book that is very colorful and has an interesting story line about an African American little boy that lives in North Carolina with his family. He delights in carrying around a knitted scarf that his Granny in Alaska sent him. He takes this special scarf on all of his adventures. He has novel insights from the perspective of a little boy with curiosity and innocence that is very refreshing! The pictures are bright and stimulating. The sentences on each page encourage utilization of emerging reading skills.This is the second book in a series. This particular book describes the little brown boy and his family’s visit to Chicago - the Windy City.
