Do you see me? Is about a little girl named Destiny who is facing some challenges at home. These challenges are rolled over into her school life. Instead of her teacher asking if she’s ok, she says nothing. When she looks at her teachers, she wonders, Do you see me? The young girl feels judges by her teacher. By the end of the book, she feels empowered to tell her teacher who she really is. This book teaches children to use their voice and encourages teachers and other adults to not judge their students by their behavior but to really figure out what is going on with them and ask, what happened.
