This is a personal memoir of my struggles with my identity being biracial, addiction, and criminality. My life was interrupted with a family tragedy that changed the direction of my life. What followed was years of personal struggles that included 10 years of addiction to drugs and a criminal lifestyle. It wasn’t until strangers showed up and loved me that I could understand the love that was around me at all times. I was a man filled with hatred of self and others, who has learned to love myself through the understanding of self. I believe that everyone has a personal mission statement waiting to be lived and this book is part of my personal mission statement. Becoming the author of my own life has helped me discovery my belonging and my purpose. My only objective is for all who read this book to understand we aren’t are past and it only defines you when you accept your now as your forever.
