Has emotional trauma crashed into your life? Are you or a loved one struggling to make sense of events that have sent your life spinning out of control?Emotional trauma crashes into your life, throwing you to the ground, usually without warning. In that moment, your life sucks, and that fact sucks any remaining life out of you. The trauma crushes you, suffocating you, changing everything. This kind of stress places a burden on your physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and behavioral health. To be restored requires significant change. To live well requires diligent attention to self-care and guidance through the process of healing and recovery. What To Do When Life Sucks offers you the perspective of a woman who has not only walked through many of her own personal traumatic events, but also served as an industry professional with an extensive background in Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue, Emergency Response Training, International Foursquare Disaster Relief, Fire and Police Chaplaincy, and Critical Incident Stress Management. Fran Graham offers a wealth of knowledge and relief to those in acute crisis as well as providing tools to assist those supporting others experiencing emotional and psychological trauma. Fran Graham was a police officer in England before coming to America and working with fire and police agencies in the United States to implement strategies of resilience for those in the field responding to trauma. She has served as a key author in updating policy and operations for interagency and inter-discipline Peer Support and Critical Incident Stress Management teams whose documents have been used as a template nationally. She teaches trauma response and recovery internationally with the International Critical Incident Foundation and Foursquare Disaster Relief. She has led responses to disasters such as Hurricane Sandy, the Oso Mudslides, and the Marysville Pilchuck High School shooting, and has built and deployed chaplain teams to many other state and local traumatic events. Selflessly guiding those suffering through her unyielding faith, courage, and authentic friendship, Fran has helped heal those along her path, all with simple yet profound love.
