In 1966, Jesse runs from the abuses of her childhood and lands in Hollywood at the height of the drug-fueled, sexual, social revolution. Having no marketable skills, in desperation she steps into the unknown world of topless dancing. This is her journey. It follows Jesse’s struggle to rise above the early conditioning that had stunted her development with fear and low self-value. While exotic dancing supports Jesse and gives her freedom from the oppression of a 40-hour work week with its insufficient wages, she dreams of a career using her intellect, and working with people who will look her in the eye.
