I Don’t Look Like What I Went Through; I’m Much Better is about a woman’s struggles growing up being the invisible child of a woman and a man who was never there for her or her siblings. From this, she began her journey into adulthood where she endured even more struggles while trying to become the woman she was never taught to be. Having to grow up very quickly without any true guidance or examples can be daunting as one navigates through life. Williams shares some of her trials and triumphs as she maneuvers through life. She addresses the importance of relationships; with family, friends, oneself, and God. She wishes her story will help people see that life can indeed get better no matter how low it may seem in the present moment.
