The Case of the Stinky Smell

This is a children’s fiction story, with some factual, true-to-life information, regarding the setting, animal, location, and stinky smell, based on the author’s real-life experience, about a strange, stinky, putrid, noxious unknown odor in a family’s home, and the search to find the location and cause of the smell. This book is written primarily to entertain the reader for fun and enjoyment. It is hoped that this book will pique the reader’s interest and motivate the reader to read with enthusiasm and excitement in hopes of solving the case of the stinky smell. This book may also be used for educational purposes to inform the reader of certain facts about the animal pest discovered and the stinky smell, and to help the reader understand the important procedures and elements of reading. This includes genre, theme, making predictions, making connections, sequencing, setting, main characters, important actions and events, plot, problem, and solution/ resolution. Along the way, the reader will be able to make a series of guesses as to what the stinky smell is, where it is coming from, and how the problem can be resolved once the location and cause of the stinky smell are discovered.
