When the supply ship NTSS Magellan arrives at Vega Prime on a routine mission to drop off provisions, the crew discovers that the survey team investigating the planet has inexplicably disappeared -- along with their entire base camp. The dysfunctional crew soon find themselves enlisted to determine what happened but are unprepared for a search and rescue mission on this bizarre planet. With landscapes and lifeforms that defy human understanding, the mission is fraught with danger as their inability to cope with the strange world and each other threatens to derail the rescue before it even starts.

They must somehow find a way to work together to decipher the secrets of the hostile planet and solve the mystery of the missing survey team while surviving against all odds.
