Runaway Heart: A Texas Romance

Runaway Heart is a fast paced category style romance novel beginning in 1859 London and traveling to the Texas Hill Country. The protagonist, nineteen year old Catherine Wilmershire, unhappy with the prospect of becoming the sole housekeeper of her family for the unforeseeable future, runs away from home in the middle of the night to find freedom in the new country of America. She plans to travel to Texas to visit some friends of her brother’s without a thought to the dangers that await a young woman traveling alone. The dangers visit her one by one and she must learn how to survive or go home. Fortunately, she counter-acts her impulsiveness with the ability to analyze obstacles, an innate ability to reason out an appropriate solution, and a solid understanding of right and wrong to eventually realize a positive result. All she has is her courage, her determination and her good instincts to survive. Especially when a handsome cattle rancher keeps showing up to seemingly torment her in every way possible. When she finally learns to stop fighting herself by curbing her impulsive reactions, she not only survives her journey, she finds happiness in her new life by fighting for and winning her independence, self respect, and sexy, handsome man of her dreams.
