From November 16, 1991 to December 23, 1992 David Olds travelled through eight countries on four different continents. At the time, the letters he wrote home to his family allowed his parents to rest assured he was safe and well. Today, they take us back in time and around the world, giving us adventure and life. They allow us to eat new foods, observe different cultures, laugh and dance with strangers, and feel both the excitement and exhaustion of exploration through the eyes of a 25 year-old from the UK years in the past.

With a website containing photos and extras from the trip, readers can choose to follow along with the sights online or enjoy the letters by themselves.
