Jewel thieves, hero dogs, white separatists and interior designers make for a tongue in cheek tale of murder and mayhem among the members of a not so exclusive country club.

The story, sarcastic and irreverent at times, revolves around interior designers Kevin and Jenne O'Malley who seem to have a knack for attracting trouble. In this light-hearted parody of the membership of a private golf club, located in Bellevue, Washington, they stumble upon a gruesome murder. The incident is only the beginning of a seemingly unrelated sequence of events so heinous that it eventually attracts national attention.

The story takes place in Bellevue, Washington with most of the action taking place at a private golf club. A jeweler turned crook leads the way into a white separatist terrorist movement, hunkered down somewhere in the San Juan Islands.

The O'Malleys, owners of a local interior design firm, somehow manage to insert themselves into the middle of the action. Their loyal German Shepherd, Emma, also seems to find a way to create her own brand of mischief.

With sarcastic, biting humor, the story leaves no stereotype upended. The characters are believable and uncannily realistic and memorable. For the golfers, the story will be all too familiar.
