When a snowstorm forces two ridiculously neurotic polar opposites together, anything can happen … and does! Janice, a snotty marketing executive with a very high opinion of herself, is on her way to meet her fiance for a romantic ski vacation at Lake Tahoe.
Jeffrey, a corporate dropout, is determined to live the simple life, isolating himself on a mountain while he writes the next great American novel.
As Janice’s car goes off the road in the middle of a snowstorm … guess who shows up to help? (Of course, it’s Jeffrey, the man who knows everything about everything.) Then, as the snowstorm makes the roads impassable, Janice’s only option is to take shelter with Jeffrey in his unusual cabin until the storm passes, the roads open, and her fiance can rescue her.
Not surprisingly, Jeff and Janice are appalled by each other’s mere presence.
And to make the situation even more interesting: Janice’s New Year’s resolution is to quit smoking, and she only has three cigarettes left. Jeffrey, as it happens, likes to quote Clint Eastwood whenever possible, and his nightly routine includes playing hillbilly music on his harmonica.
Oh boy! Let the good times roll!
