Transformed By Love

This is the story of one woman's spiritual journey through the work of ministry in low-income neighborhoods of the city. It is the story of beautiful people met, loved, and sometimes tragically and unnecessarily lost. Reverend Ellis tells the story of her work in a shelter for women who were victims of domestic violence; a storefront church; an outreach program for young gang members; prison visiting; and efforts to create partnerships with surrounding church communities. The stories lift up not only unique individuals, but demonstrate serious social problems that, in some cases, continue to worsen. Reverend Ellis tells these stories within a spiritual context, including her own struggles and growth in faith.
