Willie (Mac) Mc Daniel was born in Selma, California. He earned an Associate of Arts degree from Reedley College, a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University Fresno and Master of Arts degree from Webster University.His first career job was with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department. While there, he was recruited to become a special agent with USACDC, a role in which he investigated major crimes and conducted undercover operations related to drugs.He spent sixteen years as the Chief of Police/Director of Public Safety for a number of major universities and college districts. He earned advanced certification as a police officer in three states-California, Texas and Alabama.Mr. Mc Daniel was a faculty member and served as an adjunct instructor at several colleges and universities. He has lectured at police academies and chiefs of police training seminars.He has been a member of a number of professional police and criminal justice organizations, as well as served on the Alabama Governor’s Task Force for Drug and Alcohol Abuse on Campuses. He has also been a guest speaker, panelist and commentator on both radio and television.Mr. Mc Daniel’s community service includes past Chairman, Planning/Zoning Commission, Planning Commissioner, Assistant District Commissioner, Boy Scouts of America, Advisory Board Boys & Girls Clubs and organizing committee member for a branch of the YMCA.More recently, Mr. Mc Daniel has acted in two episodes of I (Almost) Got Away With It and a feature film, Helen’s Last Love. Willie (Mac) Mc Daniel is not yet a household name, but he soon may be. He’s lived a life full of meaning and purpose. You will see this as you read this book. He has been an actor, teacher, special agent, single parent and now an author. Be sure to watch for his second book that he’s now working on - a real life drama fit for a movie.
