Eddie Egret's bayou friends help him to overcome his anxiety while recovering from a coastal storm called a hurricane. Eddie is blown out of his next but finds comfort from his bayou animal friends such as Old Otter and Alec the Alligator. Told through soft, pastel watercolor illustrations and mixed media, bayou animals encourage Eddie not to give up hope, and to realize what is truly important in life.
