Escaping to Freedom

Bernita, a teenager from a prominent South American family, knows little about the ‘real world’ until one decision changes everything. Her papa’s alcohol consumption, depression, and lost job aid in her shattered dreams. With mounting debt and little money, Bernita’s papa sells her as a child bride. Her only escape is the dark and lonely streets. Her father vows to find her no matter the cost. Looking over her shoulders, she learns to trust no one as deception lies at every corner.
