Beaver Summer

Beaver Summer is an adventure story that explores the morality of lying to protect the ones we love. As Brax and Kate learn about the natural world in Beaver City, Oregon, they also learn about loyalty and trust while keeping a secret to protect a life. Brax must overcome stereotypes of what his peers want him to be while Kate wrestles between two opposing choices: what her parents expect of her and what she wants for herself. Young readers will see their own dilemmas in the lives of Brax and Kate and with them discover that doing the right thing can come with unintended consequences.
