Kinser Hill: A Tennesse Family Overcomes Adversity

Life on Kinser Hill had been lighthearted and carefree until the 1st of May, 1922, which was when everything was to change for the family that resided there. On that fateful day, a knock on the door brought Vesta Kinser to her knees. Her husband Wesley had been senselessly murdered. The years to come consisted of multiple court trials, with the desparate family seeking justice, yet justice was denied. The tormenting and abiding effect on Vesta’s youngest son, Wesley Jr., drove him to commit a series of unthinkable actions in adulthood, mortifying and alienating all who loved him. In spite of the tragedy and troubles the Kinser family endured, they ultimately triumphed over their adversities by summoning strength, courage and determination to find a brighter future.
