Every day, Joseph Strout helps his father take care of Portland Head Lighthouse. And every day, he finds himself increasingly discontent with his position as the Assistant Lighthouse Keeper. He would much rather see the world. Adventure and excitement calls to him. His father wants nothing more than a son who will follow in his footsteps.
