Upon Florian’s arrival to Florida in book one of this bilingual children’s book series, the German fly finds a weak and struggling Cuban butterfly named Camila, who has arrived on a cruise ship from Cuba. Using the setting of the beautiful Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, Camila thrives and becomes a friend to many other native butterflies living there. However, jealousy and envy have some who plot Camila’s demise. It is only with the help of other species living in the garden that Camila survives. Florian must use his extraordinary wits and abilities to come up with a plan that brings her back to her native island. Will there be enough time to save the small snail population?
