Amber Wood stared at the yellow fossil tree resin where a bee became trapped millions of years ago. She wondered if there were bees in the amber room walls at the palace in Russia. She placed the piece in her collection, touching a one-inch yellow amber ball for luck. Her family recently did move to Pepin, Wisconsin, for her junior year.
