From Green’s View: Poetry and Prose

From Green’s View is Henry Langhorne’s twelfth book of poetry. It includes a selection of poems called Old Favorites, as well as a selection of New Poems. New to this volume are eight short stories that will either surprise or comfort readers. The book’s title, From Green’s View, and the panoramic watercolor paintings on the front and back covers, recognize a well-known and spectacular mountain view at Sewanee: The University of the South, a liberal arts school in Sewanee, Tennessee.Says Langhorne, Green’s View was a haven for creativity for me, both as an undergraduate in 1953 and as a post-graduate student seeking a Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing at the School of Letters from 2013 to 2016.
