A collection so deep and personal, it was never intended for publication. Originally, Brighter Side of the Universe contained over 100 poems, but was pared down to 26 for this chapbook. Most poems were written during the poet’s teenage and young adult years. It contains some of the poet’s mother’s favorite poems and is a dedication to her after dealing with a tough cancer diagnosis. G.M. doesn’t hold back on dealing with both the beautiful and difficult moments in life and the contemplation of a greater purpose in the universe. This chapbook is raw, hopeful, spiritual, dark at times, and even fun at times.
