The Window takes place in a low-income area of a city surrounded by poverty, drugs, and misfortune. Diamond Jefferson a young girl who is an honor roll student that has dreams of attending Michigan State University next year. Diamond wants to be an Astrophysicist. She loves the study of stars, the moon, the galaxy, and the planets. So one year for Christmas, her mom saves up enough money to buy her a telescope, not knowing that this would be the biggest mistake of her and her family’s life. One evening, Diamond watches from her bedroom window through her telescope as her best friend is murdered. Now she and her family are on the run from a notorious gang whose members are responsible for the murder. Diamond doesn’t know whom she can trust and when she puts her trust in the wrong person, her family and everyone around her pay for it with their life. Diamond finds herself all alone, and now she has to become the person she never thought she could be in order to protect her and her unborn child.
