THE AUTHORS AND THE STORY

The book’s authors Ann Binder Anovitz and her son-in-law, Keith Kramer, started collaborating on the writing of the manuscript for the Golden Land in the mid-1990’s. Prior to this time, the story’s protagonist, Beryl Bernie Binder, was still alive and contributed an amazing level of background and detail regarding his family’s journey from the Ukraine area of Russia to America. Within its 350 pages, THE GOLDEN LAND entertainingly recounts a saga that could be the story of the many immigrants who have come to America from other countries of the world, looking for the freedom to live their own way and to make something of themselves.
