Elle, Temporal Enforcement Officer
T E Willis
It is the year 2168 and humanity has finally achieved general artificial intelligence.
Elle is one of a new breed of sentient automatons being cautiously introduced into society. Assigned as a junior agent with the International Temporal Council, she is closely supervised by the council’s most senior temporal enforcement officer, a pragmatic and capable Liam Perry.
When the council learns that a criminal has escaped justice by fleeing into the past, it commissions Perry to travel backward in time and retrieve the fugitive. Hoping for a tactical advantage, Perry asks Elle to accompany him on the mission.
The two officers find themselves embroiled in intrigue, violence, and deception surrounding the world’s first fusion reactors being constructed at Culham Center in England and at the ITER facility in France. They are also confronted by deadly operatives employed by a powerful and wealthy adversary, who has had years to prepare for their arrival.
