High School students and their parents have been sold a bill of goods regarding college education. Once considered the necessary step after high school, college today is an expensive foray with little to show for the investment. The American Dream of a College Education and the doors it will open is today little more than a costly fantasy. College IS for Lunkheads expels the myths of a college education. College may have been a necessary requisite to a successful life in times past, but today and more so in tomorrow’s economy a college education can prove more of an albatross than a benefit. Student loan debt, political correctness conditioning, warehousing, inadequate development for a career skill set and questionable return on investment are some of the negatives of embarking on a college education. College is no longer a profession but rather a business and warns the prospective college student: caveat emptor [buyer beware].
