The Deccan Traps

If you had made a discovery that would change history, would you keep it a secret? If you were offered a large amount of money for your secret, would you take it? If you and your family were threatened over your find, would you relent? John Broughton is a geologist sent to India to explore the Deccan Plateau, looking for Obsidian, the jet-black form of glass that can be made sharper than steel. The Deccan Plateau and the terraced Traps are part of a lava flow from a Shield Volcano which erupted during the Cretaceous geologic period and left a lava field larger than the state of Texas and a mile deep in some places.

The ensuing story involves detectives, explosives experts, and steamy scenes of passion against the fabled scenery of India and the quaint riverside village of Sewickley, Pennsylvania. Buckle up! Be sure to test your brakes.
