Ryan "Razor" Thompson always had a rage burning deep inside of him. Before the end of the world, it was a burden. But now, under the state of uncertainty, it is something to be praised. Trying to find a place in the new world, Razor joins a new government branch called the DC task force. A program created to help protect the country's most vulnerable resource-healthcare, which is rapidly depleting. But as time moves on, and as Razor moves up the ranks, he begins to see that the program isn't what it appears to be, and the leaders' agenda differs from what they claimed.

Now, Razor must choose what side he wants to be on, the DC task force, the new rebel group, called the Black Deficit, or the love of his life, Helena.
