Marlowe Erickson, during his impressive career as a pioneering psychologist, helped many people find more pleasant ways to live. He published self-help booklets and his Thoughts from a Psychologist is now also available online as a series of podcasts titled Flippin’ Freud . Toward the end of his life, Marlowe mused about what happens after death and expressed the desire to become the eye of an eagle. With text composed by his personal friend, Dr. John Ramsay, In the Eye of an Eagle compares an eagle’s keen eyes with Marlowe Erickson’s keen insights into life. The book, using photogtaphs of eagles taken by an internationally recognized wildlife photographer, does not answer the question of life after death but it does cause parents and teachers to sit down and share the book with children to help them look at themselves and wildlife in new ways.
