Bartholomew and the Christ Child

Every person that has ever truly met Jesus Christ has been changed…Mary and Joseph were demanded by Caesar Augustus to register for the census in Jerusalem. On their way through Bethlehem, as Mary was preparing to give birth, they stopped at the Bethlehem Inn. This fictional story imagines how the life of a stable boy may have changed after his encounter with Mary and Joseph. The stable boy chronicles, from his own perspective, the story of the birth of Jesus Christ and the aftermath, beginning from the age of fifteen, when he first meets Mary and Joseph, until he reaches the age of forty-eight.
